Variety Trials 2007.

All trials listed below were transplanted under dry soil conditions and plant stand and vigor were affected. Some black shank pressure was evident at the Coldstream Farm and at the Paul Conner Farm in Clinton Co. Black Shank appeared to be predominately race 0 early in the season at the Clinton Co. site due to the response of varieties with high race 0 resistance. However, that changed as the season progressed and only those varieties with sufficient race 1 resistance were able to handle the pressure.
